Business Development Executive (London)
Role and Responsibilities
We’re looing for a Business Development Executive to work in our consultative environment to acquire new clients, increase the revenue growth for Tap, and ensure all aspects of the sales process meet the requirements of the client and the company.
Day-to-day, this looks like:
Inside Sales Activities

- Research companies, key contacts, and develop strong product and market knowledge.
- Add data into the CRM system. Create companies and contact details found on Google/LinkedIn and/or other sources.
- Source new sales opportunities (meetings and calls) through outbound LinkedIn messages, emails, and cold calls.
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up.
- Research, map, and qualify accounts, identify key players, and generate interest.
- Understand customer needs and requirements depending on the industry.
- Ensure key stakeholders are involved as early as possible in the sales cycle.
- Hand over opportunities to a relevant colleague for further development and closure.
Partner Relationship Management

- Assist the Business Development Director in developing and maintaining strong relationships with key partners in the MarTech industry.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of partner programs and initiatives.
- Work closely with the Business Development Director, Client Services, and Marketing teams to drive partner-based lead generation.
- Collaborate with partners to identify joint business opportunities and facilitate the development of new partnerships.
- Act as a liaison between TAP CXM and partner organisations, ensuring clear communication and alignment on goals.
- Provide timely updates to internal teams on partner activities, successes, and challenges.
Event and Market Engagement

- Attend relevant industry networking events.
- Assist in the organisation and coordination of partner events and joint marketing activities.
Market Awareness

- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the MarTech space.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a Business Development Executive with prior sales experience, ideally within the MarTech industry, who is motivated, driven, and eager to take the next step in their career.
Our ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate:

- A confident and professional manner.
- Proven success in a sales role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Experience in the MarTech industry or a strong interest in marketing and technology.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confidence in engaging with potential clients over the phone, via email, and in person.
- Strong listening, presentation, and IT skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively.
- Experience working with CRM systems to track and manage leads.
- A proactive, resilient approach with a real drive to succeed.
- A hard worker with a real drive to succeed and who isn’t afraid of failing.

- A base salary of £30-40,000 depending on experience plus an uncapped commission structure.

This role is based in our London office (a short walk from Southwark & Waterloo stations).
Working hours are Monday to Friday 9:00am until 5:30pm.
