Marketo Technical Consultant (London)

Role and Responsibilities

We’re looking to hire a Marketo Consultant to play a key role in helping clients implement Marketo Engage from scratch, integrate it with their CRM system, and help set up programs and capabilities. You’ll collaborate closely with our clients’ marketing and IT teams to understand what they want to achieve, translate requirements into technical solutions, and provide expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Your Marketo expertise will be instrumental in driving successful outcomes for our clients.

Day-to-day, this looks like:

    • Working with a team to implement marketing automation programs and processes, with industry best practices and recommendations.
    • Understanding the client landscape associated with cross-channel strategy and execution.
    • Collaborating with technical resources and architecture to define a solution.
    • Conducting discovery, design, and implementation phases for Marketo projects focusing on driving B2B marketing and sales automation excellence.
    • Leading meetings and workshops with clients. This includes understanding the as-is and to-be, design sessions and documentation to enable solution development.
    • Advising clients on Marketo integration with their CRM system and assist in the integration of additional platforms.
    • Driving user adoption and supporting the client on organisation-wide change management.
    • Providing insights from industry experience to help guide clients on how to evolve and develop their Marketo instance.

What We’re Looking For

We’re primarily interested in bright and articulate self-starters who have experience delivering complex implementation projects in a client-facing environment. As such, we’re less interested in your industry experience and more interested in your rounded technical understanding and the communication skills to back this up.

Our ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate:

    • Solid understanding of the Marketo platform
    • Experience working on a new (from scratch) implementation of Marketo.
    • Success in integrating Marketo with other solutions. (Think content management, digital marketing, or marketing analytics systems).
    • Experience working on CRM integration with Salesforce.
    • Ability to develop custom integrations with Marketo using APIs.
    • Marketo email and landing page template creation.
    • Familiarity with velocity script.
    • Strong technical understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, API integration.
    • Business consultancy and/or technical consultancy experience on Marketo projects.
    • Ability to build programs in Marketo.

The following skills and experiences are not essential, but are a real bonus:

    • Ability to manage end-to-end delivery projects.
    • Marketo Certified Expert credential.
    • Previous Salesforce CRM experience (actually using, not just integrating, the platform)
    • Good communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas, problems and technical solutions in a way that non-technical people can understand.
    • Ability to build rapport with clients.
    • Enjoy working in a team, where you can contribute ideas and learn from each other.

What’s In It For You?

    • A Competitive, experience-based salary
    • A quarterly profit-based bonus. When Tap does well, we like to share that directly with the team that makes it happen.
    • 25 days holiday each year, plus bank holidays.
    • 50/50 Hybrid working (2-3 days a week in the office)
    • A dynamic and inclusive work environment that values creativity, innovation, and teamwork.
    • A fully funded private healthcare scheme.
    • A company pension scheme.
    • A smart watch on completion of probation
    • An activity points reward programme (vouchers, discounts etc)
    • A Holiday buy scheme.
    • A Cycle to work scheme
    • A Travel card loan scheme
    • Training & development budget
    • Healthy snacks delivered weekly

This role is based in our London office (a short walk from Southwark & Waterloo stations). Working hours are Monday to Friday 9:00am until 5:30pm.

We value diversity in identity, experience, and thought, and actively create a culture of inclusivity across our company and the work we do with clients, partners and suppliers. We aim to maintain a positive workplace environment and encourage our employees to bring their best and most authentic selves to work every day.

All applicants must have rights to work in the UK and be willing to undertake the relevant pre-employment screening checks should your application be successful.

We’re looking forward to hearing from you
