Junior Systems Administrator (London)

Role and Responsibilities

We’re seeking a talented and motivated individual that will support Tap CXM’s IT infrastructure by maintaining endpoint devices and systems, as well as assisting with end-user support and documentation. This role involves monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of the organisation’s technology environment, while also responding to user queries, updating technical manuals, and contributing to knowledge bases.. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, enthusiastic about technology, and eager to develop their skill set within a supportive team environment. Additionally, they’ll have the freedom to explore various areas of interest, gain exposure to diverse technologies, and shape their own professional trajectory.

Day-to-day, this looks like:

    • Assisting in the configuration and maintenance of cloud-based applications and productivity tools.
    • Monitoring system performance, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective measures.
    • Ensuring system security through regular updates, patching, and compliance with established standards.
    • Managing user accounts, permissions, and application access requests.
    • Providing end-user support, resolving day-to-day technical issues, and maintaining accurate documentation of solutions and procedures.
    • Developing, updating, and organising user guides, FAQs, and other knowledge base resources to enhance self-service support.

What We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate:

    • A degree, or equivalent qualification in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent field.
    • Basic knowledge of operating systems, specifically Windows and Unix.
    • Knowledge of fundamental IT principles and best practices.
    • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms such as AWS and Azure.
    • Familiarity with managing SaaS and cloud-based tools.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with clear and effective communication skills.
    • A desire to learn and progress your IT skills through formal qualifications.

This role is based in our London office (a short walk from Southwark & Waterloo stations).
Working hours are Monday to Friday 9:00am until 5:30pm.
